| The International Meeting of Bonsai and Suiseki in the 2002 edition it proposes for the bonsai art extraordinary guests, some of them for the first time in Europe, who will give demonstration of their technical ability through new and advanced techniques: the master Hiroki Miura, one of the greatest expert in shohin bonsai, Tatemori Gondo, the major Japanese expert in Azalea bonsai and Willi Benz, the major European expert in the art of suiseki. HIROKI MIURA Art son: his father is a president of the Syouhin Bonsai Association, this young promise of the Japanese shohin field, made perfect for years his formation in the famousness nursery of Yamato, the Yamato-en. Inheriting their parent’s nursery the Miura Baiyuen: a great engagement that obliged him to work soon very hardly. In this famous nursery he keep many courses either for amateurs or for expert, which plants rise level of Kokufuu-ten, Taikan-ten and Gafu-ten: the most important Japanese competitions. So a personality already very knew thanks also to his collaboration with the most important Japanese bonsai magazine the “Kindai Bonsai”. TATEMORI GONDO He was born in Osaka and for almost 20 years he is knew as one of the most important Japanese expert in Azalea’s bonsai. He reached this high knowledge thanks to the guide of master Suisho Nakayama, that in Japan is considered the major authority in this field. As a deeper expert on Satsuki bonsai, the master Gondo it has been a promoting of very important events dedicated to this kind of plants, not only in Japan, but also in foreign country. Since some times he kept courses for enthusiasts of this art. He founded in California – U.S.A. the first Centre for Satsuki Culture. WILLI BENZ He was born in 1931 in Heidelberg, Germany, and he is first of all a lover of the nature world. Although he took a degree in engineering, he has cultivated this interest, attending various courses. In 1968 he had a first approach with bonsai; attracted by this art, he decided to improve his knowledge with the master Matsushito. Since that time he regularly travels in China and Japan for studying either the bonsai art or the suiseki art; in this way he had occasion to learn from master as Saburo Kato, Masakazu Hashimoto, Noboru Kaneko, John Naka, etc. In 1978 he founded the Germany Bonsai Club, in 1993 the Germany Suiseki Society, for which he acts as a chairman, and now he is the assistant chairman of the European Suiseki Association. | | At Crespi Cup the best bonsai authors!
