Crespi Bonsai Cup: dedicated to experts and collectors of bonsai who will take part with their masterpieces.
Crespi Shohin Cup: dedicated to experts and collectors of bonsai of small sizes who will take part with their best trees.
Competition for the Enthusiasts: dedicated to all bonsai amateurs.
Crespi Suiseki Cup: dedicated to all collectors of suiseki, the wonderful landscape stones.
Crespi Pot Cup: dedicated to all collectors of pots and pot masters.

Events

Demonstrations of high bonsai technique. During the Crespi Cup you can appreciate all the novelties in European preview: famous Japanese masters will amaze you with surprising works on centuries-old trees, with new and advanced techniques. They will also give workshops on bonsai and shohin for all the enthusiasts. For the first time in Europe welcome guests will be the Japanese master Hiroki Miura, one of the greatest creator of shohin bonsai, and the Japanese master, Tatemori Gondo, the major expert in Azalea’s bonsai.

Lectures on suiseki and bonsai: Willy Benz, well-known expert in this field, will give suggestions to improve the knowledge of the mysterious landscape stones and bonsai also.

Kamikiri, the art of cut the paper: Shoraku Hayashiya, is one of the few artist that knows the Japanese art of “cut the paper”. An unique occasion to see him at work: simply cutting paper with scissors is able to create incredible images.

Martial art: Shaolin quan – is the boxe of Shaolin, one of the more legendary art. Taiji quan – it explains how defend oneself using the aggressor force.

 Wushu – Kung-fu – characterized by techniques based on rapidity, fluency and acrobatic.Shorinji kempo – for auto-defence and spiritual grown. Katori Shinto-ryu: is the antique Japanese fencing, developed already from 1400. One of the more elegant combat art.

Raku: this art has become popularly known in the West as a originating in Japan in the XVI century. A more recent Western development is the placing of the glowing pot in a container with combustible materials, creating particular colours, textures and metallic oxides. This technique do a absolutely unique beautiful to the cup for the tea ceremony.

Hako, the art of the box: is the antique Japanese art to build boxes. The base is obtained with similar Western paste-board techniques, while the covering is realized, applying to the precious papers, the Chinese technique of the fine stream of water, that permits to cut them maintaining the fibres free and entire.

L’Ensemble Hibuki, direct by Hiroko Yoshioka: instrumental group specialized in execution of classical pieces of the musical Japanese tradition and above all in the contemporary music written for traditional instruments, as koto (harp), shakuhachi (bamboo flute), the taiko (drum) and shamisen (guitar at three strings).

Zen philosophy “From the culture of the Empty”: the Empty, base concept of the Zen art, that can contain the whole university, is the principle inspiring of the Japanese art: an art able to transmit the intense emotion and the deeper beautiful of the present moment.

Zen gardens: wonderful and evocative are only some of the adjectives for express the emotion of who, for the first time, sees a Zen garden, that characteristics are based on the asymmetry, the simplicity, the spontaneous nature and the pure silence.
