All collectors and professionals-expert who can present a shohin bonsai of high quality can take part to the Crespi Shohin Cup 2002. The Crespi Shohin Cup 2002 prize consist of: Regulation - Send a photo of your shohin bonsai and specify its botanical name, height, width, trunk diameter, age (estimated) - together with name, surname, full address and phone no. of the owner - to Crespi Bonsai, Crespi Shohin Cup 2002 - postal address: Corso Sempione 35, 20015 Parabiago (Mi) - Italy - e-mail: crespicup@crespibonsai.it - not later than on 8th March 2002 (the postmark will be considered). - A pre-selecting jury, whose judgement is unquestionable, will select the best 50 trees among the received photos. - A written notice will be sent to the owners of the bonsai selected for exhibition. - The owners of the selected bonsai have to entrust their bonsai to the exhibition place (Crespi Bonsai, Corso Sempione 35, 20015 Parabiago, Milan, Italy), from the 12th to the 16th April 2002, during the working hours (from 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 2.30 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.). - The bonsai will be displayed without any owner's reference and just marked with a number. - A jury consisting of international experts will select the most beautiful shohin bonsai, whose owner receives as prize a voucher for the amount of 1.300 Euro for purchases in the Crespi Bonsai shop, as well as the prestigious Crespi Shohin Cup. The winner will hold the Cup for one year and then it will be offered to the new winner of the following edition. The winner’s name will be engraved on the Cup. No previous selection for admission will be required to the winner in occasion of the 3rd Exhibition. The Italian magazine “BONSAI & news” will dedicate a special article to the winner and his/her shohin bonsai. - Crespi Bonsai will make any effort to maintain the entrusted trees in healthy conditions. - The participation to the exhibition is absolutely free of charge.
